I have seen various images of the New Orleans home of Sara Ruffin Costello floating around the internet before, but it wasn’t until I saw this One Kings Lane feature that I realized how truly magical, playful, and sophisticated it is. It is homes like these that are collected over time that really make me swoon, as opposed to the sterile decorated-in-day, everything-is-new spaces. Decked top to bottom in family heirlooms and quirky oddities, one wonders just how one couple could collect such an enormity of beautiful unique treasures at such a relatively young age. This home has reinforced the notion in my mind that if you stumble across a unique vintage piece you absolutely love, you should buy it, because the chances of something similar showing up again are rare.
