Oliver and I are spending some time together at my family’s lake house in Wisconsin right now, and it couldn’t be more blissful. Having this uninterrupted and disconnected time with him – time in which I’m not worried about grocery shopping, doing the dishes, checking emails, or running errands – gives me the opportunity to fall more in love with him.
There is something so sweet and indulgent in spending a whole hour down by the beach with himΒ to just splash and play in the water and giggle and throw rocks and dig sand. As much as I love my iPhone and my laptop it is incredibly refreshing to be without devices and social media during those times. There is so much to see and do and explore here at the lake and it feels good knowing hisΒ experiences here will have a positive impact on his development in the long run.
He is truly the sweetest, happiest baby and I can’t believe he is mine.
