As you may have noticed, the recipes on my blog have taken a new direction in theΒ past few months and I have yet to address these changes.Β As of fall 2012 I am proud to say that I have embraced the paleo and primal lifestyleΒ after joining a Crossfit box.
While I won’t get into the science on my blog, I will give you a list of resources where you can find all the 411 onΒ paleo. I’ve also added notes to someΒ of my older recipes to show how they can beΒ adapted to beΒ paleo or primal.
Don’t worry, I promise to continue posting the sameΒ crowd-pleasing recipes and entertaining tipsΒ that I hope attracted you to readΒ my silly little rantsΒ in the first place. But from now on, my goal is to post recipes that feature whole, unprocessed ingredients from responsibly-sourcedΒ animal and plant products whenever possible. Since I love to host dinner parties, there may be recipes from time to time that feature gluten-free yummies like heavy cream, rice, or organic corn, and that’ s quite alright.
Because honestly, I’ve never felt or performed better in my day-to-day life. And not to mention, I’ve never made such delicious, gourmet food since “going paleo.” AKA, people at my dinner table have been very, very pleased with the food I’ve been preparing. :) Hey, life changes, people change, hence this blog is going to change.
Disclaimer, I am definitely not 100% on this day-in and day-out though. For example, I LOVE toΒ indulge onΒ ice cream, dark chocolate, parmesan cheese, corn tortillas, and wineΒ when the time feels right. But I definitelyΒ try toΒ do itΒ the vast majorityΒ of the time, and when I am making non-paleo choices I am very much aware of it.
It is a completely personal decision and I don’t force my family, my dinner party guests, or my blog readers to eat any certain way. When I’m entertaining and hosting dinner parties, I like to make food for all to enjoy, so that each person can make their own decisions about what to eat and feel comfortable.
Thanks for listening to this rare-occurring personal post, and I hope you continue to enjoy reading and making recipes from my blog!
