Today we’re throwing it back to 1994. Remember when you used to press flower petals in between your social studies textbooks in third grade? Well I’m bringing it back.
A few weekends ago I had some girlfriends over for brunch and they brought me the most beautiful bouquet of tulips. I rarely buy fresh flowers purely from a budget standpoint but it’s amazing how something that’s alive can instantly change your mood.Β I was so sad to see them wither so I decided to keep the fallen petals that had turned purple and turn them into art. I pressed them for 3 days beneath a layer of parchment paper, my cookbooks, and my dutch oven. Then I hot glued them in a random fashion to a piece of regular laser printer paper and inserted it into an IKEA Ribba frame.Β As my girlfriend said it’s a perfect way to avoid the super sad feeling of throwing flowers away and I agree with her!
