First of all, thanks for all your support as this blog takes a turn in a different direction from a strictly food blog to a more general lifestyle blog that more accurately reflects my current state and interests as a homeowner and mother, includingΒ interiors, DIY and home improvement projects, personal family stories, and all things baby.Β I hope you’re still enjoying to visit! I promise I will always continue to post new recipes as I develop them because I will always, ALWAYSΒ love making food. Onward…
Lately, and especially after adding this pillow to my living room, I’ve become OBSESSED with the color emerald green and all of its various shades and thinking about ways to incorporate it into my space.
Emerald green justΒ feels so luxurious and it goes so well with my other favorite color, navy blue. I secretly but not so secretly want to paint or wallpaper the walls of my dining room green and I’ve been begging the Mister ever since I got the idea in my head. I mean, how cool do these rooms look?
Certainly this comes to Mr. Peaches’ dismay because he’s the one who has to do all the labor. So until I can get my way, here are a few ways I could potentially add a kick of green without giving the hubbyΒ a headache. I could…
…find or reupholster a chair in an emerald green velvet,
add an emerald green throw to the sofa or bed,
lacquer an old piece of furniture with emerald green paint,
wedge some books in between some green agate bookends,
arrange my wine bottles and a candle on top of a glossy green tray,
add some more solid or printed green throw pillows,
add (imaginary) luscious green drapes to my (non-existent) sky-high windows,
Have you ever incorporated emerald green into your space? If so, let me know!
