This past weekΒ we were lucky enough to stayΒ with my family and our closest family friends at a villa in Jamaica to celebrate the Christmas holiday and my dad’s 60th. It’s safe to say that it was one of the most incredible trips I’ve takenΒ in my life and it was so special to be back in the country where we got engaged five years ago. Here are some of my favorite memories and snaps from the trip:
Being an expert traveler. BarelyΒ a tear from little O after two hours in customs!
Oliver’s baptism which took placeΒ in a beautiful ceremony at a local Catholic Church on the water. It was so amazing to celebrate our traditions from home in a foreign country and have my family there by our side (and I have to admit they were troopers for survivingΒ the long service!).
Daily morning yoga (oh how I’ve missed it!)
Nightly dinners.
Oliver napping in the shade in his new Graco carseat and strollerΒ from Grandma and Grandpa. I freaking LOVE this thing. It’s funny how the less expensive the stroller you buy, the better it works out for you and has the features you need, HAH.
Swimming off the beach with not another tourist in sight.Β And seriously awesome playtime with Oliver. Let’s be real, it was totally awesome to have hisΒ aunts, uncles, grandparents, and friends to hold and feed him all day long! :)
And let’s not forget our 4:30am strolls around the villa in his Christmas jammies.
Despite not sleeping at night while I was thereΒ (Oliver is still really struggling to sleep at night and I’m practicallyΒ in tears about it, but that’s a topic for another post), I can’t say that the days weren’t restful! There is something so sweet about indulgingΒ a no-time-limit nap with your newborn in your arms with the sound of the waves crashing nearby. I never want to forget those moments.
xoxo,
