Today's post is a little bit of a PSA, but it's an issue I feel so strongly about that I want as many parents, grandparents, and interior designers as possible to know about it. A few months ago I was selling a lampΒ on the local mom list serve. When I invited the womanΒ into my house, she immediately commented on the blinds in my living room. They were old, dark wood blinds with cords running ... View Post
Vintage Bookcase Turned Media Cabinet
For a long time we had been using a media cabinet from Home Decorators under our TV that was part of a 3-piece set (2 pieces of which I'm currently using in the dining room). It was solid in the front so if you wanted to watch TVΒ you had to manually open the cabinet, which isn't a huge deal but to be honest drove us nuts. I know there are kits out there to remedy this but I was ready for a ... View Post
Integrated Living & Play Area

Our house is really small so I have to get really creative while not creating too much clutter. Lake House Closet Nursery
A few months ago I sharedΒ my plans for a closet at my family's lake house in Wisconsin that we decided to transform into a nursery, and I'm so happy with how it turned out. We've been using it all summer and I just got around to snapping some pictures of it at a time that it was free ofΒ stuffed animals and blankies strewn everywhere. We decided not to add a roman shade to the window because the ... View Post
