Sweet Potato and Sausage Hash with Fried Egg

Sweet Potato and Sausage Hash with Fried Egg

06/03/2014

Hash is one of my favorite make-ahead meals.Β  I like to make a huge serving of it for dinner and save the leftovers for reheating which makes for quick and easy breakfasts throughout the week. I used to make this dish with Applegate chicken sausage, which is pretty delish, but once I laid eyes on a homemade pork Andouille sausage from a farmer at my local farmer's market, I knew I had to ... Asparagus and Grape Tomato Frittata

Asparagus and Grape Tomato Frittata

02/11/2014

I know it's not asparagus season yet, considering we're still in the middle of the polar vortex, but I couldn't help myself to test a few new spring recipes. This frittata is sooo yummy, I literally ate it for breakfast, dinner, late night snack, and again for breakfast the next morning. Mmm!Β The fresh rosemary makes the flavor really elegant. It took a little longer than I had expected ... View Post

Kale, Pomegranate, and Avocado Salad

Kale, Pomegranate, and Avocado Salad

01/23/2014

I'm baack!! My apologies for taking an extended holiday vacation from the blog. Mr. Peaches and I recently found out that we're expecting (yay!!!), so I have NOT been able to even set FOOT in the kitchen to cook. I cannot handle the lingering smell of things that I used to love, like bacon and garlic (so sad, I know). Eating, of course, is no problem. Just the smell of food ... View Post

Spicy Pineapple Salsa from Michelle Tam {Nom Nom Paleo: Food for Humans Review}

Spicy Pineapple Salsa from Michelle Tam {Nom Nom Paleo: Food for Humans Review}

12/11/2013

Ever since MichelleΒ and her husband Henry'sΒ new cookbook arrived at my doorstep, I literally have not put it down. I got a few laughs from other customers at Whole Foods the other day because I had it propped up in my cart while I browsed the aisles for ingredients. Hey, at least I was prepared. Since then I've tried to make as many of her recipes as I can including her Salmon with Honey ... View Post

Homemade Breakfast Sausage

Homemade Breakfast Sausage

12/03/2013

It's like McDonald's sausage patties, redefined. :) If you find yourself with a lot of leftover herbs after Thanksgiving, then you should definitely give these a try. I made these for myself to eat for breakfast for a week, and think they'd be great to serve my family in a breakfast buffet over the holidays alongside eggs and fruit. Once you find how easy it is to prepare ... View Post

Casablanca Carrots from Melissa Joulwan {Well Fed 2 Review}

Casablanca Carrots from Melissa Joulwan {Well Fed 2 Review}

12/02/2013

Melissa Joulwan'sΒ cookbookΒ WellΒ FedΒ was the first cookbook I purchased when I transitioned to a whole foods lifestyle in Fall 2012. Since then, I've delighted in her delicious, ethnic-inspired recipes that are full of flavor and unlikely combinations. Her new cookbook,Β WellΒ FedΒ 2, is full ofΒ interesting ideas to combine spices and vegetables. I brought these Casablanca Carrots to ... View Post

One more angle of the bedroom I shared yesterday. One more angle of the bedroom I shared yesterday. We decorated the rest of this client’s home in vibrant blues and purples so I wanted to continue that color story in their main bedroom but in a more muted, calming way. This couple is obviously not afraid of pattern mixing (😍) and it was truly such a joy to hand select fabrics for each element in the room. 🎶
